APMAR MUSIC is a full service music production company owned and operated by Alan Poaps, which specializes in creating the best in
Corporate and Commercial Music Tracks. We have produced music tracks for many Canadian and American corporate presentations. Corporate Clients include: Wrigley Canada, Canada Fitness, Honda Canada, Paramount Cruises, Encore Cruises, Color Your World, Watkins, Zeneca, Guinness UDV, Toys R Us, Living Lighting, Toronto Film Festival, Crestor Pharmaceutical, Prism and Petro Canada.
For decades, Alan Poaps was employed as teacher and in house music producer at Sheridan College in Oakville, Canada's best-known musical theatre school. He recorded and produced the music tracks for all of Theatre Sheridan’s full-blown musical productions, as well as providing the music for their summer resort show, Style. Other credits for Sheridan College included over ten years of producing the Commercial Performance Critiques, a live music event in Toronto, at The Opera House and Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. Alan was also very proud to have produced the demo recordings for the Canadian Music Theatre Project (CMTP), an incubator for new musicals, including the Broadway hit Come From Away.
For several years, APMAR MUSIC was very pleased to have provided the music tracks for the Mary Kay Convention. Another highlight included creating and producing the original Music Revue "The Motown Sound" with a performance from the dance band "Midnite Hour" for the Ontario Dental Association at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre.
Producing for theme parks, APMAR MUSIC created and produced the Music Revue "Motown Then and Now", which had a very successful run at the Ontario Place Island Club and increased public attendance by 56%. The next two summers were also spent at Ontario Place, producing the music tracks and music directing the R&B shows "Soul to Soul”. We've also recorded and produced the music tracks for the variety show "Tropical" at Paramount Canada's Wonderland.
As songwriters, APMAR MUSIC wrote, created, and produced the recording "Remember the Dream", a two song CD to raise funds for Cancer Research. Original songs from songwriting team of Shawn Daudlin and Alan Poaps have been recognized by the UK Songwriting Competition, Billboard World Song Contest, Song of the Year Contest, and The John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Other independent recording credits include "Soul to Soul" (Ontario Place), "Christmas at Rivington Station" (Artist : Rivington Station), Tonight at Eight (Artist : Stephen Patterson), and the self-titled releases from Tyley Ross, Michael Hughes, and Shawn Daudlin.
